Relief and geological structure of Vyzhnytskyi and Cheremoskyi national natural parks (Ukrainian Carpathians)

Purpose. Analysis of the relief and geological structure Vyzhnytskyi Cheremoskyi national natural parks (NNP) as important components complexes, which, well biota, are objects nature conservation institutions. Methods. Field research, geological-tectonic general geomorphological analysis NNP’s relief, review regional descriptive materials maps. Results. NNP located in South-Eastern part Ukrainian Carpathians within Chernivtsi region. The morphostructure morphosculpture NNPs is carried out taking into account longitudinal (N-W – S-E) transverse divisions Carpathians. division associated with morphostructures higher orders, such second third, fourth fifth orders morphostructure. shows types characteresed Carpathian Flysch Сrystalline Mountain ranges ridges Bukovyna med-mountains, Pneve-Yarovytsi Chyvchyn mountains characterized by an asymmetrical steep northeastern slopes declivous southwestern slopes. relic represented by: 1) fragments denudation surfaces different ages Polonynska Pidpolonynska Karmaturska (analogue Pidbeskid) NNP; 2) extra glacial landforms NPP; 3) areas ancient valleys. inherited river valleys a complex terraces ages. premountain includes relict ("dead") Bagno valley. Modern morphodynamic processes represent height (tier) differentiation. highest tier apical subalpine zone (1,450–1,600 m) slow displacement debris manifestations gravitational, avalanche nival processes. In tiers strongly dissected mеd-mountain low-mountain NNPs, planar erosion, deflux, linear erosion play role modelling relief. lower terraced non-terraced bottoms leaching significant accumulation products mudflows. Among gravitational block motions, stabilized active displacements most recorded.
